Employment Assistance Program
As part of our commitment to creating sustainable livelihood for people disadvantaged in the labour market, we have undertaken a range of projects that give people a chance to improve their skills, identify career goals and explore employment options.
We have run a range of the projects funded through DEEDI (Department of Employment Economic Development and Innovation's Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs) that have trained people in carpentry and construction, business administration, horticulture, permaculture, and hospitality.
SPIRAL has a strong track record in this area - an average of 70 % of participants move into paid employment upon completion of their project.
SPIRAL has assisted more than 100 people to move into employment and assisted 9 people into apprenticeships through these programs.
