SPIRAL Community Hub is a group of friendly people working with your local community.

About Us

SPIRAL Community Hub’s mission is to develop just and sustainable local communities.  SPIRAL Community Hub was established in 2003 with the core goals of creating sustainable local economy and sustainable livelihood for the most disadvantaged in the community.  Over the years we have  worked with hundreds of people disadvantaged in the labour market through work experience and training programs and assisted them in to long term sustainable employment.  SPIRAL has consistently achieved over 70% employment outcomes  for our Skilling Queenslanders for work programs wheras  the average outcomes across Brisbane are closer to 50%.  When SPIRAL was a ‘work for the dole’ sponsor our participation rates consistently ranked the highest in the State. Our work began in West End with the Kurilpa Ethical Consumer guide and has continued to achieve best practice community development outcomes from vibrant locally run neighbourhood community gardens,  self sustaining  savings and credit groups and our partnership with the Eritrean Australian Women’s and Families Network to establish Muóoz Restaurant in Moorooka.
