Future Proofing

The Future Proofing project was developed to support individuals and community development workers all over Queensland to support their communities to move towards a more sustainable future.

The Future Proofing project involves a 12 month program to set up Sustainability Action Learning Circles and work through a range of changes communities can make.  The program includes change that can be made:

• personal change and changes around the home.
• what communites can do together

and

• Systems advocacy approaches to push for government and industry changes.

The development of the Future Proofing manuals have been trialed an developed through an Action Reseach process with urban and rural communities.  Participants and Facilitators Manuals are now in the process of design and printing.

Look out for the launch of the next phase of this project next year.

We will be holding Train the Trainer Training for Facilitators in February 2012.
